Gateway Notebook Battery Recall
Gateway Inc. has recalled their Lithium Ion Battery Packs. The batteries can overheat and pose a fire hazard.
The recalled battery packs were included with some of the Gateway 400VTX and 450ROG notebooks. Only batteries with part numbers 6500760 or 6500761 are recalled. The part number can be found printed on a label on the underside of the battery pack.
Stop using the battery and contact Gateway to receive a replacement. Gateway can be reached at (800) 292-6813 or by visiting their Battery Exchange Program.
