Acer Notebook Battery Recall
Acer America Corporation has recalled lithium-ion batteries containing Sony-made cells used in their notebooks. The lithium-ion batteries can overheat and poses a fire hazard.
Only batteries with certain part numbers and battery week codes and used in certain Acer notebook models are included in the recall. Visit their Battery Exchange Program page to figure out if your battery is part of the recall.
Stop using the battery and contact Acer to receive a free replacement. Acer can be reached at (800) 503-2330.
