Professor Caterina Pierre, a college art history professor who specializes in women artists, wanted a web site for her students. She asked for a site which is colorful, but which also appeals to women and that's exactly what we set out to do for her. The original design of her site went live on August 30, 1999 and what is online now is the site's second incarnation.
