Marcello Sculpture
Description:
Marcello (born Adèle d´Affry in Fribourg, Switzerland, duchess Castiglione Colonna, 1836-1879) was one of the foremost sculptors working in Paris during the Second Empire and the early years of the Third Republic.
Notes:
Marcello Sculpture is the web site dedicated to the sculptress Professor Caterina Pierre did her dissertation on. This is High Aspirations' second web site designed and maintained for Professor Pierre. She wanted an elegant and feminine feel to the site. The web site went live on January 30, 2005 and includes a separate Art Diary sub-site which allows Professor Pierre to publish her own art related reviews.
